Excess Sealer
« on: December 11, 2012, 12:10:09 PM »
I recently purchased an imported concrete sealer from what I thought was a reputable "name brand" supplier and have experienced peeling and blistering of the product on concrete floor just one day after application.
I have photo's of the peeling and blistering that has occurred. Can anyone please advise the next course of action.

Hi Liam,
although you don't mention the brand in question, most brand names...especially those available over the counter, are in fact developed focusing on budget opposed to quality. Unfortunately quality costs and there is no escaping this. So referring back to your question...either the product itself is not all it is stacked up to be or alternatively too much sealer was in fact applied. Either way the surface must be chemically stripped back with any excess sealer removed and project commenced again. Sealer off course can also be removed mechanically. Probably not the advice you wished to hear  :(
